How Does it Differ From the Previous Geekvape Mods?
The first Geekvape Aegis Legend turned many heads, flying off the shelves when it was released back in 2018. It had great airflow, a nice, rugged design and was IP67 rated, making it dustproof, shockproof and waterproof like we’re used to now, with the majority of Geekvape devices.
Fast forward a few years later and Geekvape has moved on to the second generational device, with the same sturdy build but they have somehow managed to create the same powerful performance of 200W, as well as upgrading to an IP68-rated level of protection, but also offer something lighter, more compact and with a few exciting new features.
The power of the Aegis Legend 2 is only matched by its sleek impressive design and practical nature, leading the charge for stylish and effective vape mods in 2023.
There are now cool features like accidental press protection and larger air slots for a smoother airflow which will produce the kind of clouds you can only dream of!
The subtle alterations are with the size of the Legend 2, which is not as wide or long (15% smaller), and the materials are slightly different. For instance, with the first Legend, the device wasn’t as smooth because it was completely covered by rubber. Great for if you drop it but the first vape mod didn’t look as sexy.
However, the Aegis Legend 2 is less bulky and there is only rubber on the top and bottom of the device. So, if you drop it on the ends, no issues – there shouldn’t be any scratches! But if you drop on the side, scratches could happen.
Both feel comfortable to hold in the hand, but we rate the Aegis Legend 2 higher for design and the previous model slightly higher for practicality and protection if dropped. Little features like the stopper to protect the USB port and the new lock switch give the new device an edge in the appearance ratings.
How is the Battery Life?
If it’s not broken, don’t fix it! For Sub-Ohm cloud chasing, because you go through e-liquids much faster, you need a lot of fire power and battery life. What’s good about the Geekvape Aegis Legend range is that both devices are supported by dual external 18650 batteries.
Therefore, two batteries should last an entire day. But even if they don’t, providing you keep a couple spare in your bag, you’ll always be able to vape when you need it. And not worry about finding a space to recharge the device, whether you’re working or at a wedding.
Using the Geekvape Aegis Legend 2 – Easy or Difficult?
Even though it’s a Sub-Ohm mod, which is always considered more advanced and technical than simple pod kits with limited features, the Geekvape Aegis Legend 2 is super simple to operate. Changing the coils is easy in the Geekvape Z Tank and swapping the batteries is also a breeze, with a spring-activated protection on the bottom, which you just click to open. How to install your batteries is clearly marked, while the charge port is nicely hidden and waterproof.
There is a lock switch for peace of mind when operating and while it’s in the pocket or however you carry the Aegis Legend 2.
